It has successfully piloted its products with the most prominent global brands in food, and now it's time for the company to scale. The company recently added a new CEO and other senior leaders, including a new CTO - all of whom hold decades of experience operating growth companies. Our CEO has a track record of successful exits, and we recently accepted a strategic investment and partnership from Ecolab (NYSE: ECL), a $70 billion public company which, as the global leader in sales of cleaning solutions to restaurants, truly knows how to operate at scale. Our new leadership team is evolving the company's culture from early stage to growth stage with new processes and disciplines, and is supported by a board that includes the former President and CTO of OpenTable. With Ecolab's support, we are building a world-class team, and are looking for more exceptional people to join us. The Role The Director of Supply Chain role will have tactical responsibility for all the activities related to planning, build, distribution and inventory management of Miso products. The scope of this operation is to manufacture and distribute Miso products globally. Managing this supply chain is critical to ensure that "bumps" in demand are managed efficiently. The Director will be responsible for driving supply planning and execution as well as a methodology for managing the supply chain in a highly leveraged environment requiring accurate and timely information and reporting. Additionally, driving a "Clear to Build", constraint based environment and supporting the associated supplier collaborations. What You'll Do On a day to day basis, you will: * Create monthly and weekly build plans * Drive execution with factories/assemblers * Drive monthly material procurement plans * Establish detailed operating plan and work on install plans based on known constraints and variables * Develop operational processes that will enable a transition from a low volume to a high-volume product company * Institute an MPS/MRP method system * Manage contract manufacturers and assemblers * Drive procurement plans for materials, components, and spare parts * Manage inbound and outbound shipping and logistics * Source and negotiate agreements with freight providers * Own the reporting and metrics around all supply chain functions shared with leadership and the organization * Maintain documentation on the systems you create Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field * 10+ years of related experience focused on the day to day manufacturing and operations management of a high technology company * 4+ years of experience managing product supply planning on a global basis with multiple providers * 6+ years of experience in managing contract manufacturing relationships in terms of creating environments of high accountability and execution * Knowledge of inbound and outbound logistics * A highly process-oriented individual with significant knowledge of manufacturing systems. * 3+ years of experience in development of worldwide inventory planning and "End of Life" management * Experience in developing customer fulfillment programs * Effective oral and written communication skills * Ability and drive to collaborate effectively with a team * Self-motivated and able to make decisions autonomously * Ability to work in our HQ in Pasadena, CA Compensation $160,000-$190,000 + Stock Options + Benefits The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base salary range for candidates residing in the Los Angeles Metro area and excludes additional earnings such as bonus and benefits.
