Industrial Designer in Dearborn, Michigan.
Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week.
The position requires demonstrable expertise in physical solutions with strong visual design work, design sensibility, and articulate storytelling. You'll be responsible for concepting and sketching, designing low to high fidelity design prototypes, leading workshops, and managing asset production through the life cycle of assigned projects, pilots, and research initiatives. Opportunities - Recommendations for relevant market opportunities and for new design studies.This forecast can support future product strategies. Design Brief - New products are defined in terms of target group, product positioning and new features. Concept Visualization - Relevant design/style/products are identified and potential new design/style/products are defined. Responsibilities:
Participate throughout the entire design process-from inspiration and research to building prototypes and communicating a vision, bringing to life integrated digital-physical experiences through brand, people, space, products, and services. Work with a project team to conceive, design, develop, test, and launch new products and services, applying systems thinking to information and experience design that seamlessly engages people. Identify design opportunities and actionable concepts that align with user and business needs, design principles, and technical capabilities. Effectively communicate functional and aesthetic sensibilities in an advanced product development environment with engineering, planning, and research stakeholders. Apply systems thinking to physical experience design that seamlessly engages people through touchpoints along a service journey for consumer and business applications. Collaborate on designing, making, and testing new solutions through experiments and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity-from sketches, renderings, CAD models and animations to functional prototypes and build-ready assets.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45.00 to $75.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
