Rogers Group is currently seeking an experienced individual to fill a position as a MASTER MECHANIC for our quarries in Columbia, TN and Lewisburg, TN. This role requires significant previous experience as a mechanic working on heavy equipment. This position will service both the Columbia quarry, and the Lewisburg quarry. JOB DETAILS: * Full-Time * Day-Shift * Wages starting at $38.00/hr JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * This role requires significant previous experience as a mechanic working on heavy equipment. * The role will be responsible for performing repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on a wide variety of mining and quarry equipment and trucks. * The applicant must have a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a wide range of service issues that affect major components such as engines, brake systems, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drive train components, heating/cooling and electrical systems, as well as other systems generally encountered in the industry. QUALIFICATIONS: * Uncompromising focus on safety excellence. * Minimum of three year of experience working on heavy equipment. * Perform heavy or major maintenance repairs as needed. * Perform routine scheduled maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks. * Complete maintenance and work order repair records. * Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects. * Be able to weld and fabricate, as needed. * Heavy equipment parts familiarization including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost of heavy equipment parts. * Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks. * Ability to operate mobile equipment. * Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites. * Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work. * Weekend work/overtime may be required. * Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist, and lift 70lbs. * Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feet. * Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions. * Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
