Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: * Conduct field investigations and perform failure/accident analysis on incidents involving all types of vehicles and related mechanical equipment * Conduct vehicular accident reconstruction and mechanical failure analysis initially in a support role and later as a project lead * Perform calculations, engineering analysis, computer analyses and simulations and technical reporting * Investigate design, safety and failure of machinery and mechanical systems * Provide technical findings and conclusions in layman's terms, both verbally and in writing * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies * Regular and predictable physical presence in the office * Long term goal to become testifying expert Position Requirements: * B.S in Mechanical Engineering required, Master's Degree preferred * Eligible within 24 months for P.
