INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY Deceuninck is seeking an Extrusion Operator A at our Monroe Facility. As an An Extrusion Operator A will perform advance technical and troubleshooting task to maintain smooth performance of the extrusion lines to ensure the continuous production of quality product. They will also have the ability to perform all responsibilities associated with the packer, Extrusion Operator I and II in addition to the responsibilities listed below. Core Responsibilities: * Must be able to safely and accurately start up an extrusion line. * Must be able to achieve the correct pounds per hour using the die shear. * Must be able to achieve correct vent conditions. * Must be able to set up and clean the ink jet laser. * Must be able to start up lines for but not limited to the following; frame, dual sash, noodle and post co. * Must be able to perform advance quality checks such as, but not limited to using the color scanner, Promex, profile. * Must be able to understand and explain the twin screw design and semi therms. * Must be able to maintain optimal number of active running lines within assigned area. * Must be able to determine throat conditions. * Must be able to properly adjust zones. * Must be able to mentor other associates with training efforts. * Monitor, document, and troubleshoot the extrusion process of all assigned lines. * Must be able to perform time studies, accurately. * Must be able to read the production schedule. * Must be able to restring a line. * Notify Extrusion Lead of any deviation from Production Report that will hinder efficiency. * Know all the process conditions. * Communicate vital extrusion process information to the on-coming operator that is taking over your line at the end of your shift. * Maintain continuous cleaning and inspection of assigned lines and areas. * Perform autonomous preventative maintenance and report problems. Qualifications: * Demonstrate safe and clear understanding of LOTO as it is associated with the functions of this role. * Know the 6 processing principles. * Knowledge of vacuum pressure and appropriate tolerances. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions. Able to problem-solve with a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Education Requirements: * 1-2 years Extrusion Experience preferred.
