About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Lead Specialty Engineer to join our team in building the state-of-the-art Wires platform, the backbone of global finance. As a Wires Platform Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize the payments systems that power billions of dollars in transactions daily. In this role, you will: * Architect and develop high-performance payment systems, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability * Lead complex initiatives on selected domains * Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk * Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost * Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies * Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature * Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives * Mentor less experienced software engineers * Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers * Lead team to achieve objectives * Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively * Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to payment processing Required Qualifications: * 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education * 5+ years of experience developing enterprise-grade software * 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on payments systems * 5+ years experience technical expertise in languages such as Java, Python or C++ Desired Qualifications: * Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Locations: 2600 S Price Rd. - Chandler, Arizona 85286 125 High St. - Boston, Massachusetts 02110 1298 E 14th St. - San Leandro, CA 94577 300 S Brevard Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
