Job Summary and Responsibilities/Duties * This is a Grant Funded, Limited Term position with an expected duration of 6-8 months. Oversees the expansion of the HD130: Today's Careers course at MHCC. Leads the design, scheduling, promotion, and implementation process for the new course offerings focusing on various career clusters such as health professions, computer science, the arts, and exploratory pathways. Collaborates closely with faculty, departmental staff, and instructional services to ensure the successful development and execution. Essential Duties * Collaborates with faculty and industry experts to develop curricula for new career exploration courses. Integrates career theory, career assessments, and hands-on exploration into the course design. Ensures course content is relevant, engaging, and aligns with the latest industry standards. * Works with instructional services and departments to schedule course offerings. Coordinates instructor assignments and resource allocation. Monitors and adjusts schedules to accommodate student demand and resource constraints. * Develops and implements promotional strategies to increase awareness and enrollment in the new courses. Creates marketing materials and works with the college's marketing department to disseminate information. * Conducts informational sessions and workshops to introduce students to the new career clusters. * Serves as the primary liaison between faculty, deans, and other stakeholders involved in the course expansion. Facilitates regular meetings to ensure alignment and address any issues or concerns. * Develops and maintains a project timeline to ensure timely completion of all tasks. Tracks progress and reports on project milestones. Identifies and mitigates potential risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle. * Develops assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of the new courses. Analyzes feedback from students, instructors, and industry partners and performance data to identify areas for improvement and continuously improve the courses. * Prepares reports and presentations summarizing course outcomes and impact. Minimum and Desired Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Career Counseling, Project Management, or a related field Experience/Training: Minimum (2) years of experience in project management, educational program development, or a related area Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered on a year for year basis Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in Education, Career Counseling, Project Management, or a related field * Experience working in higher education or career services Additional Qualifications and/or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Skills: * Organizational and project management skill * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Detail-oriented Ability to: * Work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. * Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with educational technologies. * Identify and solve problems proactively * Multi-task Working Conditions and Important Information Working Conditions Work is typically performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a computer terminal. Visual eye strain and repetitive hand/wrist motion for data entry and keyboarding functions. This position will primarily work on campus but may occasionally require remote work or off-site meetings.
