Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a self-starting, motivated Field Operator 3 team member to join our dedicated Southern California field engineering team. The team designs, develops, tests, delivers, and operates advanced prototypes and unique marine systems. The new team member will have the opportunity to perform a variety of field operations functions in support of our field engineering team. Roles & Responsibilities: * Must have the ability to work at-sea aboard a commercial vessel for two to five cumulative months per year (annual physical exams are required to verify fitness for sea duty). * When problems emerge, the employee must resolve them by relying on operational and emergency procedures. * Field Operator/Craftsman may also consult technical documentation, including drawings, change orders, maintenance procedures, and engineering memorandums. * Will consult with design engineers to provide operational feedback and/or product improvements. Must identify system requirements and preventative maintenance. This position is contingent upon customer approval and applicable program accesses. Basic Qualifications for Field Operator 3: * HS Diploma and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience * Previous professional experience working in a field operations or related work environment. * Ability lift, bend, and perform physical activities consistent with daily duties. * Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and have the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to starting. Must be able to maintain this clearance for continued employment. Preferred Qualifications: * Hands-on experience operating and maintaining remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), autonomous undersea vehicles (AUVs) or other marine systems. * Effective verbal and written communication. Salary Range: $86,000.00 - $143,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
