WSTM/WTVH/WSTQ has an immediate opening for a part-time Video Editor. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: * Assemble video for newscasts using non-linear editing system on tight deadlines to get shows on the air. * Communicating clearly with producers and crews to ensure correct video gets on-air and all parties are aware of any workflow issues which may impact shows. * Recording video from a variety of local and outside sources and routing of live video signals. * Knowledge of and interest in news and current events a plus. * Familiarity with non-linear editing and Avid in particular, preferred. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: * College degree or minimum one year relevant experience in commercial video production. * Knowledge of non-linear editing and ability to assemble high-quality clips that match scripts quickly and accurately * Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment under deadline. * Understands news is a 24-7 operation, must be able and willing to work nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed The compensation range for this role is $16.00 - $17.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
