You show up in the department with a curious and open mind and balance working independently with mentorship from others. You are developing a world-class expertise in the industry and are becoming fluent in many areas of production. You approach all projects with a creative mindset with a focus on adding value to the work. In addition to the usual skills (listed below), Production at W+K requires solid critical thinking and excellent collaboration skills as well as a passion for guiding creative ideas from brief through project launch. You will be client facing, have a strong point of view on the best production approach to support the creative ambition, know when to ask questions and be able to guide the team and client through the entire production process. You will vet creative ideas for feasibility before they are sold to clients and work closely with creatives to find the best ways to bring their creative ambition to life. Alongside your creative cohorts, you'll vet and bid outside production companies/directors, fabricators, illustrators, event planners, photographers, editorial houses, animation/graphics artists, game developers, music companies, recording studios and post-production/finishing facilities (etc) based on who's best suited for the creative idea as well as the scope/timeline/budget of the project. You will be innovative in your production approach and a fair, honest and kind representative of W+K to our outside partners. You will partner with BA to identify and manage risk, secure clearance rights, provide clarity around all production estimates, legal guardrails and budgets for client approval and cast/budget for SAG talent both on- and off-camera. You'll be accountable for managing the production budget, schedule and communication with partners throughout the project.
