We're searching for a Staff Hardware Test Engineer. In this role, you will * Troubleshoot and root cause field failures * Design an embedded HIL fault injection system * Provide Electrical/Computer System expertise to other VnV teams * Troubleshoot and root cause VnV failures * Plan, evaluate, and purchase required test equipment for testing Required Qualifications * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Similar * Python Experience (Automate tedious tasks, Analyze data, Work within larger testing frameworks) * Working knowledge of electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, DAQs * Working knowledge of environmental test equipment including environmental chambers, vibration tables, strain gauges, accelerometers, thermocouples * Hands on experience with root cause analysis of electromechanical designs * Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals * Experience working in a Linux environment * Willing to travel to test sites (Texas) Desired Qualifications * Experience using Bazel build automation * Experience working in the field on vehicles The base salary range for this position is $163,000 - $261,000. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions.
