JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive for specific positions. We perform at a level that exceeds guest expectations. * Comfortable - We provide a safe, relaxing, and inviting environment. * Appreciated - We recognize the full value of our guests. * Respected - We see and value the uniqueness in each guest and approach each guests needs with dignity and integrity. * Entertained - We strive to deliver a valuable, enjoyable, and delightful experience. * Adhere to department service standards of being attentive, professional, and having a quick response. * Assisting in transporting and verifying money, chips, and tokens. * Control access to restricted areas. * React to guest and employee passage in and out of the casino. * Responsible for checking for and reporting safety hazards. * Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees. * Responsible for checking ID's for guests who appear under the age of 35 to verify authenticity. * Responsible for observation, identification, and possible removal of guests who may be showing visible signs of intoxication. Shall use resources available to ensure that the possibly intoxicated guest does not drive off property. * Assist the Security Shift Managers with casino floor activities and guest disputes. * Serves as a team leader for emergency response situations. * Responsible for departmental training for both new hires and current staff, including training of staff as well as development of training materials. * Provide work direction and guidance to security employees in the absence of the Security Shift Managers. * Completes all company-required training within designated time frames. * Must be able to review reports written by others and correct errors. * Delegate authority to Security Officers to meet the business needs of the casino, and assist with Security Officer and Casino Operations Dispatch duties and responsibilities when necessary. * Performs other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical/mental demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands: * Ability to stand for long periods of time with intermittent breaks on a daily basis, walk to various areas of the casino, and lift up to 250 pounds with help. * Must be able to walk up and down up to 9 flights of stairs while carrying up to 20 pounds. * Ability to read and comprehend information from identification cards in order to ensure authenticity and verify information such as date of birth. Mental Demands: * Ability to use a telephone, two way radio, and computer in a clear and accurate manner. * Must possess the ability to learn and operate various computer software programs including, but not limited to, Security/Surveillance Database (SSDB), Employee Access, and Microsoft Word. * Must be able to read and write effectively in the prescribed formats. * Ability to use perform duties under pressure and in an interruptive environment. * Must be able to obtain and keep current with First Aid/CPR/AED training, and have the ability to respond to medical calls of all types. * Must be able to positively interact with a diverse group of people. * Must be able to maintain composure during difficult and/or stressful situations. * Able to work varied hours which include nights, weekends, and holidays. Work Environment: * Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoke-filled casino environment with above average noise levels. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: * Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Training/Experience: * One year of casino security or law enforcement background preferred. Job Knowledge: * Display a sound understanding of policies, procedures, State Laws, IRGC gaming rules and regulations and a demonstrated ability to conform to company standards. Other: * Must possess above average written and oral communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Valid Gaming license. * Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification(s). * Must complete all required company training. * Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurance requirements.
