Job Summary: CPS partners with several organizations for Fellowship opportunities for high performing individuals interested in pursuing a career path in urban education with the District. Fellows work on short-term defined projects with a dedicated project supervisor and may include components such as data analysis, operations, strategy & planning, and program & project management . Skills and experience are matched to project needs and projects may be in a variety of different areas. This is a part-time/temporary position with an expected start date of June 10, 2024 and an anticipated end date of August 16, 2024. In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the Fellow must possess the following qualifications: Education Required: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Experience Required: * Project management and community engagement experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong communication skills (speaking - including presentations - listening, and writing) * Knowledge of educational systems and familiarity with teaching and learning structures * Ability to lead and manage projects * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with all levels of management and staff * Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment * Strong planning, organization and time management skills Conditions of Employment As a condition of employment with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), employees are required to: * Establish/Maintain Chicago Residency - Employees are required to live within the geographic boundaries of the City of Chicago within six months of their CPS hire date and maintain residency throughout their employment with the district. The Chicago residency requirement does not apply to temporary/part-time positions, however, all CPS employees must be residents of Illinois. * Be Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19 - Unless approved for a medical or religious exemption, all employees are required to be up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations, including boosters, and to submit proof of vaccination to the district within 30 days of hire. "Up-to-date" on vaccination is defined as being at least two weeks past all primary vaccine doses and any applicable boosters. '397556
