The internship program is in-person at the agency headquarters in Columbia, SC, for a minimum of four months and can last for up to a full year. The Graphic Design is expected to work 20-37.5 hours per week on graphic design production, advertisements, brochures, magazines, government reports, and numerous communication projects that require visual tools to define and explain the services, programs, and responsibilities of our agency and its customers. The position will create, edit, and package branding logos, imagery, and deliverables for print and digital uses, including banner ads, educational and event-based flyers, promotional posters, website graphics, and more. The incumbent will also help develop designs for external reports, internal templates, webinars, presentations, and more. The Graphic Design Intern will also work on data visualization assignments and developing graphic design that provides clear depictions of complex information. Minimum and Additional Requirements Must be 18 years of age. Must be a legal U.S. Citizen. Must be currently enrolled or a graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's program in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field. Must have a working knowledge of and at least 3 years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite programs, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Must attach portfolio or at least two graphic design samples of work to reflect skills. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable mode of transportation.
