About Lakewood Regional Support Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and Communications. General * Performs general repairs and maintenance work. Provides assistance to senior engineers * Responds to Meeting Room, Guest Room, Food & Beverage Outlet, Public Space, and Back of the house maintenance requests. * Performs work as dispatched by system or leader * Performs minor set-ups for hotel functions * Expedites light bulb replacement program * Maintains and stocks supplies and tools in storerooms on floors * Assists guests with engineering room calls * Communicates status of maintenance requests * Cleans engineering shop * Follows up all maintenance requests as directed by leadership * Communicates daily with leadership on status of maintenance/repair assignments * Ensures that the hotel's building systems are operating safely, economically and efficiently * Follows proper hotel standards while engaging in repairs in occupied guest rooms or guest areas * Assists the leadership in ensuring that all hotel systems meet the standards established by local, state and federal regulating agencies * Informs leadership of any repair problems that may arise during their shift * Helps monitor energy consumption and waste * Maintains equipment and supplies * Use tools safely and correctly * Completely familiar with Hotel Emergency procedures and able to respond quickly and accurately during an actual emergency, to notify all appropriate personnel * Completes any other duties as assigned Supportive Functions and Responsibilities * Promotes and applies teamwork skill at all times * Notifies appropriate individuals promptly and fully of all problems and/or unusual matters of significance * Is polite, friendly, and helpful to all guests, management and fellow employees * Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions * Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area * Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards * Complies with required safety regulations and procedures * Complies with hotel and department standards, policies and rules * Recycles whenever possible * Remains current with hotel information and changes * Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards Qualifications * The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation: * Familiarity with basic tools and equipment, electrical, a/c pumps required. * This position requires bending, lifting and stooping., pushing, pulling, working outside, extensive walking,, ladder work, use of various hand tools, painting. * Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. * Must be flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidays * Must be customer-service orientated * Basic command of the English language Education: * High school diploma preferred Experience: * General maintenance experience
