Reporting to the Director, Social Media, the Social Media Specialist is responsible in executing on San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and Yaamava Resort & Casino's social media communication strategy to increase the visibility of the casino's social content, while growing the company's social following. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Contributes, monitors and responds to multiple social media accounts. Creates, edits, and publishes shareable content appropriate for specific networks to grow the corporate brand 2. Monitors and appropriately responds to users on the Tribe's feeds to support/protect the brand by ensuring positive messaging. 3. Utilizes industry trends data in social media and the Casino industry to create a unique voice and campaign for San Manuel. 4. Captures real time photos and images for digital campaigns. 5. Builds and maintains a social media calendar. 6. Researches, develops, and maintains campaign audiences through Facebook Pages. Brainstorms and executes campaigns and ads through Facebook Pages. 7. Participates in assigned events to provide coverage through Facebook, Yelp, Twitter, Instagram, Google and other social sites and performs as a marketing liaison for key celebrity focused events. 8. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department. Education/Experience/Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, interactive communications or related field is required. * A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in digital content marketing/development and community management is required. * Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above. * Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills are required. * Ability to identify and execute opportunities for content development and potential campaigns is required. * Working knowledge of web-based communications and various social media platforms is required. * Must have flexible hours and availability around the clock as it pertains to relevant material. * Must have experience maintaining a high productivity level amid competing priorities and strict deadlines. * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point required. * Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and HTML highly preferred. * Experience with leveraging social media management and analytics tools, including but not limited to Sprout Social, Meltwater and Hootsuite. * Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable collaborating with a team.
