Piper Companies is looking for an Principle Scientist to join a biotechnology research company located in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities of the Principle Scientist include: * Provide general leadership for flow team members (one on ones, creation of goals, performance review, etc.) * Provide information on FACS and assist with recruitment process * Create different cell-based assays with regards to client requirements (ex: complex flow immunophenotyping assays or primary cell based assays) * Create SOPs for creating different assays that follow compliance and client requirements (immunophenotyping , ELISpot, and cell based assays) * Create reports and provide communication for clients * Review and create different posters, papers and proposals * Train both the scientific staff and technical staff Qualifications for the Principle Scientist include: * PhD in life science or a related field (preferred Immunology or Cellular Biology) and at least 8+ post doc laboratory experience * Required experience in hands on flow cytometry, cell sorting, and validation of assays * Preferred experience as a direct manager for a flow cytometry team while being a CORE team member for 10-15+ years Compensation for the Principle Scientist includes: * Rate Range: $134,000 - $160,000 *Depending on experience* * Comprehensive Benefit Package: Employee Medical/Dental/Vision Keywords: Principle Scientist, Scientist, Flow Team, Leadership, FACS, Assays, Manage, Cell Based Assays, Client Requirements, Complex Flow Immunophenotyping, Primary cell based assays, SOP, ELIspot, Life Science, PhD, Immunology, Cellular Biology, Bench Work, Flow Cytometry, Cell Sorting, Validation of Essays, CORE team, Onsite, Full time #LI-AS1 #LI-ONSITE
