General Description The position Senior Therapist is a valuable member of our (CABS) Child and Adolescent Behavioral Servicesteam which works with high-risk youth involved in the juvenile justice system (RYSE) Redeploy Youth Supported Evidence who are identified as having mental health symptoms. Works closely with a comprehensive treatment team consisting of the courts, probation, schools, health care, mental health, and other community-based services. Provides individual, family, and group therapy; mental health evaluation; treatment planning; case management and case consultation services to youth clients and their families. Assists clients in developing and accomplishing treatment goals in individual, family, and group settings. Utilizes the evidenced-based and trauma-informed practices of Functional Family Therapy and Attachment, Regulation, and Competency. Provides services in the office, in community settings as well as via telehealth. Provides consultation and education to community groups. Competently works with clients with coexisting disorders including substance abuse. To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who can: * Communicate well with children and their families. * Provide resources that promote stability and healing. * Compassionate, kind, and understanding. Schedule: 37.5 hours a week * Flexible work hours (Monday-Friday) * Remote work is optional for some days. Essential Functions * Provides direct services to clients including individual and group treatment. * Maintains regular contact with an active caseload. * Consult with the supervisor regarding the transfer/placement of a client to another level of service, as needed. * Facilitates with clients and collaborates with the treatment team to develop, review, and update treatment goals and referrals both internally and externally. * Assists clients in obtaining public entitlements, housing, community resources, etc. * Attends staffings/clinical conferences with schools, juvenile justice, community agencies, and others, as necessary. * Provides education and direction to clients, family members and/or significant others. * May assist in facilitating transportation of clients. Knowledge Skills Abilities and Education Required * Master's degree in a related field * Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), oras a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Five (5) years of clinical experience, or * Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), oras a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) * Valid driver's license and automobile insurance Supplemental Information As the largest human service provider in Lake County, we believe that services must be available without barriers.
