About The Opportunity The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership and profitable operation of all allocated service centers within the regional territory and ensuring best practices are followed pertaining to production, safety and human resources. The Regional Operations Manager is expected to build and grow a management team that is able to create a safe work environment, meet customer expectations and foster a continuous improvement mentality with all employees. Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Seamless day to day execution of operations throughout region. 2. Daily review of production metrics and KPI's (Labor expense, Forklift/Machine Repairs, Cost/Sort, Sorts/Hour) 3. Evaluate and make adjustments if necessary to achieve budgeted financial goals. 4. Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures consistent throughout division in relation to production, quality and safety. Need Operations Manager approval before creating new SOP's. 5. Perform facility audits on service centers relative to production and safety requirements. 6. Establish and maintain professional relationship with customer. 7. All aspects of recruiting and maintaining a management team. 8. Interview, recommend and hire all Service Center Managers within Territory. 9. Facilitate training of all new Service Center Managers. 10. Provide leadership across service centers by demonstrating ORBIS values and culture. 11. Develop continuous improvement training for Service Center Managers relative to operational excellence, employee relations and financial strategies. 12. Review, evaluate and provide corrective action for direct reports on a predetermined and proactive basis. 13. Motivate and train employees to maintain succession plan for future growth/opportunities. 14. Consistently enforce ORBIS polices through discipline action process. 15. Host weekly, monthly and/or quarterly meetings with Service Center Managers. 16. Financial Responsibility 17. Achieve budgeted financial goals for region. 18. Review individual service center accounts payable reports on a monthly basis and make approvals. 19. Assist Operations Manager in annual Budgeting and forecasting process. 20. Other duties as assigned. Performance Measures and Outcomes 1. Must pass company training programs to perform daily tasks. 2. Must meet or exceed budget requirements. 3. Must meet or exceed safety and quality requirements. Education/Certification Level Required: High School Diploma/GED | Must maintain Company approved Fork Lift Operator's Licenses. Level Desired: Bachelor's Degree Company Certification Work Experience Required * Minimum of 8 years direct oversight and management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with a proved track record of success and stability. • Basic level of mechanical skills Desired * Experience overseeing multiple remote locations Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and product recipes/material identifications. 2. Preferred core understanding and/or experience in supply chain related activities (i.e. transportation, reverse logistics, cleaning and sanitation, asset tracking). 3. Proven understanding of safety and OSHA compliant processes. 4. Superior leadership skills with proven ability to effectively manage and develop a diverse team of people, and facilitate effective cross-business synergies. (Bi-Lingual a plus) 5. Intermediate financial knowledge sufficient to understand/build/manage financial budgets and statements. 6. Trained and proficient utilizing LEAN Manufacturing practices and at least 3 years of LEAN, 5S and process improvement experience.
