Under general supervision, the Medical Records Technician assists the Health Services Director in maintaining the facility's clinical record system and assists in implementing record procedures for the Clinical Records Unit. Schedule: Full Time Pay: $22.08 - $30.00 * Gather patient information by collecting information from a variety of sources. * Initiate and maintain medicals record by creating and processing the patient care record folder * Maintain master patient index by completing assigned portion of daily audit trail; corrects and communicates problems according to established procedures * Keep health care providers informed by communicating availability or unavailability of the record * Maintain documentation and communication regarding irregularities, and continuing needs * Work with state officials during Survey, serves as a member of OBRA team; * Performs quantitative and qualitative audits for compliance including: patients' charts; medical records for physician telephone orders, physician monthly order, advanced directive status, lab tests and other assigned audits. * Conduct Medication Admin Record (MAR) Audit. Qualifications: * Two years or more experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities working with medical records, * Experience in a long-term care skilled nursing SNF or hospital setting and applicable long-term care and acute care medical records protocols * Prior experience in a retirement community with RCFE Title 22 Regulations What's in it for you?
