Overview We are currently seeking skilled Ship Crane Operators for our Stevedoring and/or Cargo Handling operations. The purpose of this position is to accurately and safely discharge and/or offload vessels in port in the most efficient ways possible. We uphold the highest safety standards and seek to employ like-minded operators. Details: Scheduling: Operators can expect shift work type scheduling including nights and weekends as needed. Compensation and Benefits: $26-$28/hr. Responsibilities Safely operate Ship to Shore Cranes Safe and knowledgeable operation of equipment Inspection of equipment for defect or damage before and after operation Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment to safety standards Discharge Vessels promptly Attentive to operations and surroundings Follow scheduling and production goals set by management Work as a team to meet, achieve, and exceed goals when possible Qualifications 6 months minimum experience with Ship Crane Operation or similar. Must possess valid relevant crane training certification if you do not have work experience. This includes Gantry Crane, GL/GLE, or K4 Crane Training. Understanding and knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used for Crane Operation. Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English Ability to obtain a TWIC card (for more information visit the TSA website on TWIC requirements) Valid US driver's license Other Details: As a port employer our team is subject to working in all weather conditions including extreme heat and harsh winters. We work in all weather conditions. All employees must pass a background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical and be able to obtain a valid TWIC card within a specified period of hire. #Logistec_us
