Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs also complying with ADA requirements. Ensure all safety protocols comply with local, state and federal regulations. Conduct regular assessments to ensure workplace accessibility and compliance. Design and conduct safety training sessions for all employees. Create training materials and resources tailored to various roles with the organization. Emphasizing inclusivity for employees with disabilities. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities and equipment. Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to management. Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes. Prepare reports and recommendations for preventative measures. Stay updated on safety regulations and industry standards. Ensure the organization is in compliance with all safety-related legislation. Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries. Promote safety awareness and engage employees in safety initiatives. Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance audits. Prepare reports for management on safety performance and metrics. Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding safety and ADA-related concerns. Coordinate with legal and HR department to maintain compliance with all relevant laws. Conduct safe driving seminars for county employees operating vehicles and machinery. Test and certify employees on use of various vehicles and equipment. Assist in implementing disciplinary measures for violations of safety rules. Advise all management personnel of new and existing laws governing safety of county governments. Inspecting all work sites for identification of hazardous conditions. Qualifications A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field and four (4) years of related experience or A high school diploma, or GED, and eight (8) years of related experience. and Possession of a valid Mississippi driver's license.
