Job Summary The Master Technician - Automation is responsible for supporting high speed automation systems used in the manufacturing process. Including the installation, start up, and set up/programming of high-speed automated manufacturing formulation, filling, sterilization, and packaging systems. These systems include vision, PLC's, robotics, and a wide array of sensor technologies. Hourly Rate - $24.01 - $35.42 Responsibilities * Serves as technical expert for maintaining and troubleshooting all types of automated equipment used in production. * Performs electrical controls set up as required to automated machinery. * Trains and mentors Mechanics, as required, to ensure there are capable Mechanics on all three shifts. * Coordinates daily activities with other departments to maintain production demands. * Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned. * Reviews work orders, log books, and other pertinent documentation completed during the performance of work by Maintenance Mechanics. * Assists with maintaining spare parts inventory and re-orders spares as required. * Assists the Maintenance Supervisor in drafting, reviewing, revising and approving maintenance and operation SOPs. * Planning and execution of continuous improvement efforts Manage capital/expense project activities with guidance from Maintenance Supervisor * Additional responsibilities under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. * Uses AutoCAD for the design of equipment layouts, tool and fixture design. * All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities. REQUIREMENTS * Minimum of High School Diploma/GED; Associates degree or apprenticeship preferred. * Minimum of 3 years of experience serving as a Mechanic. * Very strong electrical background, including knowledge of PLC code and modification. * Considered an expert in the maintenance and troubleshooting of automated equipment. * Preparing, editing and/or updating documents to include maintenance, quality, production, change controls and other documents/reports as deemed appropriate. * Must possess excellent documentation, communication, and planning skills as evaluated by maintenance supervision. Have demonstrated outstanding teaching and training skills with peers and must be considered by peers and management as a "go-to" person. * Robotics experience a plus * Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
