Job Description Position Objective: Provide technical support to resolve product or service requests regarding engineering, technical, or scientific issues. Directs and coordinates activities concerned with field service personnel who perform routine services including installation, maintenance and repairs based on customer needs. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: * Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot the repair of equipment failure * Resolve issues with customer's orders, customer accounts, and other related issues * Coordinate activities of personnel troubleshooting and repair * Identify parts, components and maintain up to date technical knowledge of company products * Perform administrative activities associated with the effective management of department operations, including monitoring phones, compiling estimates, and retrieving production data and reporting for service records * Work closely with operations and engineering personnel on technical matters and coordinate instructions and recommendations * Work from complex engineering drawings and specifications, detailed written and verbal instructions, and handbooks * Recognize and identify warranty situations which may result in special circumstances for the resolution of warranty claims/issues * Assist in the creation of long-term service agreements, swing-unit programs and various aftermarket projects as directed to support aftermarket objectives * Provide direct field support for commercial and warranty jobs as needed Experience/Skills: * 5+ years related experience and/or training * MS-Office and Oracle experience required * Ability to lead personnel * Project management * High mechanical technical aptitude * Electrical aptitude desired * Effective verbal and written communications * Ability to travel domestically and abroad when necessary. * US Citizenship required for positions at the North Mankato facility. * Education: * Associate degree (A.A.) or related experience Additional Job Details CHECK US OUT ON YOUTUBE: http://acim.nidec.com/generators/kato-engineering/about-us/katocareers Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec Nidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
