Requisition No: 829556 Agency: Department of Law Enforcement Working Title: INFORMATION SECURITY CONSULTANT - 71000599 Pay Plan: Career Service Position Number: 71000599 Salary: $62,000.00 Posting Closing Date: 09/25/2024 Total Compensation Estimator Tool INFORMATION SECURITY CONSULTANT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S OFFICE Open-Competitive Opportunity POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting in the ongoing support and administration of the department's information security program. The person in this position will focus on areas relating to identity management, asset management across the enterprise and management of any technical control to monitor and enforce security of these areas in support of the information security program. This individual will also have a secondary focus in areas of software cataloging and review of software for information security compliance. The incumbent in this position will also assist in formulation and maintenance of information security policies in conjunction with the FDLE Information Security Manager relating to these areas. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties include: * Establishing and continuously enhancing the Identity Management programs, plans and processes for FDLE in conjunction with the Information Security Manager; * Establishing and continuously enhancing the asset management program, plans and processes for FDLE in conjunction with the Information Security Manager; * Managing security controls over asset management such as Network Access Control (NAC), passive asset discovery controls and conditional access controls used by FDLE; * Researching mandates, regulations and rules for Information Security requirements for the agency; * Establishing and continuously enhancing the software approval and review program, and processes; * Conducting auditing functions relating to identity management functions in accordance with requirements; and * Establishing configuration baseline standards for various types of assets used by FDLE. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Documented working knowledge and experience of Identity Management principles; * Documented working knowledge and experience of asset management programs, plans and processes as well as technical solutions to oversee asset management; * Documented working knowledge and experience of 802.1x and Network Access Control (NAC) as well as conditional access controls; * Ability to research mandates, regulations, and rules for Information Security requirements for the agency; * Knowledge of software operations; * Documented working knowledge and experience in researching software supply chain characteristics such as country of origin, privacy agreements, and licensing agreements; * Documented working knowledge and experience in conducting audit functions relating to identity management functions in accordance with requirements; and * Documented working knowledge and experience in researching and establishing configuration baseline standards for various types of assets.
