Students cannot work more than 20 hours per week during the semester and 35 hours per week during intersession and summer breaks. The report contains information on security policies as well as crime and fire statistics for the University. Below is a summary list of responsibilities for the position of Graduate Intern in the Center for Student Engagement-PLV. Specific Responsibilities: Advising * Serve as a Student Engagement advisor to the specific groups advised in your area. * Work with student leaders to ensure compliance with university and departmental protocols and policies. Training & Development * Training will be provided to all Graduate Interns to acclimate you to the department, general policies and protocols, and University systems used for general operations. Attendance at training prior to the start of the Fall semester will be required. Training dates will be communicated in advance. * Partner with professional staff to develop training and activities that promote development for campus leaders. Campus Events/Programs * Assist in the planning and execution of major programs for the Center for Student Engagement. * Be present at specific campus/department events as well as student events to assist with setup and breakdown. * Assist with large-scale campus event prep as needed. General Administration * Schedule 20 office hours per week (this may be flexed to offset evening and/or weekend hours worked) * Working knowledge of SetterSync, 25Live, Eventbrite, general purchasing and contracts policies/procedures, and Student Engagement-specific policies/procedures * Perform other duties as assigned or requested
