Job Details Job Location: Mid Willamette Family YMCA - Albany, OR Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $19.00 - $28.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day Job Category: Business Development Description The Marketing & Communications Director supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community by establishing collaborative opportunities with community organizations and businesses to advance the YMCA's cause of healthy living, youth development and social responsibility. The Marketing & Communications Director will work closely with the Chief Program Officer and department directors to establish a strategic plan for securing the Y's financial stability. Qualifications Bachelor degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 3-5 years' professional experience in marketing required. 1-3 years' PR, Communications or Community Relations experience preferred. * Computer proficiency in graphic design, social media and web design. Familiarity with Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Drupal and Vertical Response preferred. * Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to explain information to diverse groups. * Demonstrated experience in both designing and writing copy for marketing materials * Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously * Must meet all pre-employment requirements including but not limited to the criminal history investigation. * Certifications required within 90 days of hire: CPR/AED, First Aid and Safe schools.
