Visit our website at JMTArchitecture.com Position summary: Responsible for performing all phases of architectural work from conceptual design through construction administration. Essential functions and responsibilities: * Assist project teams in development of the aesthetic and technical design and preparation of architectural design and construction documents * Independently apply advanced architectural concepts and designs * Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client's needs * Utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans - specifically CAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit * Conduct code research * Ensure quality control reviews throughout project completion * Collaborate with designers, consultants, and staff to meet clients' goals * Participate in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project * Carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures * May provide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staff Nonessential functions and responsibilities: * Perform other related duties as assigned Required Experience * Bachelors of Science In Architecture or Bachelors of Architecture * 6+ years of experience * Proficient with computer-assisted design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up * Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Experience in transportation, transit, architecture. (Specifically, Bus and Rail) To be considered for this job, please upload a portfolio of your transit experience. Qualifications preferred: * Masters of Architecture * LEED AP accreditation preferred * Experience in transportation, transit, and community architecture preferred Working Conditions: Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Field work is required on occasions where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. #LI-KW2
