About the Role - Nutritionist Chef Instructor We seek a skilled, dynamic and charismatic Culinary / Nutritionist specialist for our Life in Balance demonstration kitchen to create and conduct culinary classes and promote our Miraval nutritional philosophies while taking our culinary programs at our Life in Balance Kitchen to levels of excellence. The Culinary / Nutritionist specialist will create and conduct programming classes that will range in size depending on occupancy. A qualified candidate will possess a background on Nutrition / Dietician. Wage Information: The hourly rate for this position is $32.00. Ability to relocate for advancement opportunities in the future * Teaching hotel where you can learn from some of the best in the business * Complimentary hotel nights and discounts at Hyatt properties around the world * Life Insurance * 401K with Matching * Flexible Spending Account (FSA) * Employee Assistance Program * Tuition Reimbursement * Complimentary Employee Meal * Complimentary Parking * Referral Bonuses Some of the essential duties include: * Create culinary programs in line with our Miraval nutritional philosophy * Planning and execution of daily classes for our guest * Testing and tasting of recipes * Development of new designs and recipes * Work with restaurant chefs to design dishes for their outlet in line with the Miraval nutritional philosophy * Assist the Chefs and Culinary staff in analyzing menu items for nutrients * Provide high quality service to guests * Demonstrates and incorporates mindfulness in all guest contact, programs, experiences and written materials * Requisition of supplies and equipment * Setting and working within a budget * Coordination with the Chefs on complementary flavors * Following the latest trends in Culinary Arts * Experimentation with new flavors * Assigning priorities to guest requests LANGUAGE SKILLS Must possess fluent use of the English language. Ability to effectively communicate with members of the media and relate the Miraval experience in an authentic and personal manner. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and operational procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior leadership, managers and co-workers, clients, guests, staff and the general public. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at a high standard. The requirements below represent the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * One year certificate or higher from college or technical school preferred; 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior teaching experience preferred. * Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, food and nutrition, or a related area preferred * Six months of nutritional background work * Understanding all cooking techniques recipes are required * Maintains a neat, clean and orderly work area * Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef * Fulfills marketing requests (ie: article requests, blogs posts, ect.)
