Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Loader Operator for our Romeoville Quarry facility located in Romeoville, IL.

What You'll Get To Do
The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The Loader Operator must also maintain all equipment as directed per policies, procedures, and operator manuals.
Responsible for the operation of front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers and to load trucks or railcars.
Verify amount of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to ensure adequate quantity and quality of raw materials is maintained.
Perform routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
Participate in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards.
Ensure assigned established performance indicators are met.
Work toward improvement of the assigned plant and surrounding area.
Follow established environmental procedures to ensure that the plant for which he/she is working is in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements.
Participate in ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment.
Work with plant manager, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and may recommend solutions to improve performance.
May haul cement and/or additives from storage area in bulk or bags.
Adhere to all Heidelberg Materials and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
Meet or exceed company safety standards.
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
What We Are Looking For
Be able to read, write, and speak English
High school diploma preferred
Bilingual a plus
Physical Requirements: sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending (bending at the waist, lifting above the waist and lifting below the waist), kneeling, reaching, grasping (use of both hands), squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements with both hands, use of wrists (flexing or rotating with both wrists), use of both feet, use of arms above and below shoulder, work extended periods of time in same position, perform duties in all climates i.e. weather, extreme temperatures, tolerate heights, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, capable of wearing respiratory and other personal protective equipment
