What role you will play in our team

ExxonMobil Canada is seeking a geoscientist to support upstream operations in Eastern Canada. The successful applicant will support two world-class offshore facilities, Hibernia and Hebron. You will work in a team environment with geoscientists and engineers of varying backgrounds to identify and capture opportunities. Responsibilities will include the integration of geophysical and geologic interpretations to generate drill well opportunities, manage production data for field enhancement, and plan/execute drill wells. What you will do

Your responsibilities may include work related to: Generate high-quality investment opportunities for ExxonMobil Canada Provide geologic and geotechnical support to any of the Canada East Properties Integrate well, seismic (3D) and production performance data to generate drill well opportunities Integrate reservoir and production data for field enhancement Generate core descriptions and well log interpretation for analysis of depositional environments and reservoir characterization Generate scenario-based analysis of in-place volumes, recovery efficiencies, and flowstreams Possess a broad understanding of the economic principles and interrelationships which impact project viability and development scope and their relationship to the geoscience/engineering evaluation and uncertainties Collaborate with other subsurface and surface disciplines (Engineering, Drilling, Regulatory, etc) and Project Teams to ensure alignment and progress of investment opportunities About you

Skills and Qualifications Post-Graduate (M.Sc. or Ph.D) or bachelor's degree in Geology or Geophysics or Geological Engineering A minimum of at least 3 years industry experience in upstream oil and gas Preferred Qualifications/ Experience Willingness to contribute in a fast-paced, highly technical and globally competitive work environment An ability to find innovative solutions to challenging production, development and commercial problems Demonstrates initiative, independence and accountability for tasks and recognizes their impact on the business Strong oral and written communication skills and familiarity with technical report writing Experience in Petrel considered beneficial, but not essential Broad background in geology with familiarity of sequence and seismic stratigraphic concepts Familiarity with structural mapping Exposure to 3D and 4D seismic reflection data interpretation Exposure to acquisition, processing, and interpretation of 3D and/or 4D seismic reflection data, including seismic attributes and geophysical modeling Location:
