Summary
The Arts and Behavioral Sciences Music Area Employees support the Arts and Behavioral Sciences Department by providing basic assistance and completing day to day tasks. Student Employees will be assigned to a specific job within the department. Student employees will work on a part time basis, often with flexible schedules to accommodate class needs.
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours to be eligible for student employment opportunities during Fall and Spring semesters. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours to be eligible for student employment opportunities during Summer semesters.
Essential Functions

Piano Accompanist
* Transport sound equipment.
* Coordinate and supervise set-up and tear-down of sound equipment.
* Identify and coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment.
* Consult and collaborate with the director for sound balance at all tech rehearsals and performances.
* Attend Vocal Jazz rehearsals to prep and research for performance needs.
* Perform related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
* Must be enrolled in 6 credit hours at ICC during the semester of employment for fall or spring or enrolled in 3 credit hours for summer employment.
* Possess excellent level of responsibility, reliability, punctuality and professionalism.
* Maintain academic standing and be enrolled in journalism classes.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.
Preferred Qualifications
Currently enrolled in related courses.
