The Opportunity
USAA’s
Organizational Design Consultants
work with Sr. Business Leaders and HR Business Partners to create strategies and design organization solutions that enable business outcomes and company differentiation. They leverage their organizational expertise to diagnose organizational issues, create organization design solutions, facilitate design sessions, and coach Sr. Executives and partners through all phases of design. Additionally, they develop and refine USAA’s organization design discipline and tools to effectively support the business with their unique design needs.
This position can work remotely in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. Relocation assistance is available for this position.
What you'll do:
Provides advanced knowledge and strategic guidance covering a wide range of OE solutions such as organizational design diagnostics, culture shaping, employee engagement and strategy integration.
Partners with the business to diagnose and frame complex problems by identifying performance gaps in people, process, organization, culture and technology in partnership with Process Engineering, Change Management and/or HR functions.
Develops holistic recommendations and tool sets based on the findings.
Provides insight and guidance to HR Business Partners and COEs in organizational effectiveness strategies, core practices, and tools.
Devises and implements plans to build a stronger organizational effectiveness capability across HR.
Partners with HR Business Partners on OE discipline and tools.
Consults with senior management on opportunities, issues and trends.
Researches, analyzes and monitors measures of success of OE solutions.
Maintains current knowledge of advances in Organizational Effectiveness, Change Management, Employee Engagement, and Behavior Shaping methodologies.
Applies leading edge methods and practices to improve enterprise organizational effectiveness capabilities.
Researches and shares internal and external best practices.
Supports third party vendor in process and reporting.
Administers program budgets and resources, schedules, and vendor compliance to contract specifications.
Builds project plans.
Monitors programs through quantitative and qualitative data.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor’s Degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 years of organization design consulting experience leading complex, large scale enterprise wide efforts using industry-standard consulting methodologies to diagnose organizational issues with internal clients and implement creative, value added solutions.
Advanced understanding of and practical experience in principles, methods and tools in the following disciplines: organizational effectiveness, change leadership, organizational design and systems design, cultural integration, and high performance teams.
Ability to translate strategy into specific goals, action plans and deliverables.

Experience coaching leaders on organization design and effectiveness principles
Proven capability in connecting company strategy to function specific organization design efforts
Experience developing and coaching more junior consultants in organizational design facilitation, systemic and critical thinking, and political navigation
Extensive facilitation experience leading to timely and appreciable business outcomes
Proven track record of successful organization design implementation and embedding with clients
Experience documenting Executive-level deliverables and presentations

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $109,130-208,580
