Job Description This is a full time Administrative Director of Nursing for Emergency Services at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. Oversees all activities of a busy emergency department and a small, free-standing emergency department in accordance with established policies and federal and state guidelines. Responsible for strategic planning and profitability and is accountable for all operations and programs. Administers, directs and coordinates the business. Recommends and leads changes to improve processes and policies. As an organization leader, this position shares accountability for facilitating organizational and department goals using effective leadership knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure achievement of expected results for patient/customer service, employee engagement, financial health, business growth and quality and safety outcomes. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Bachelors degree within 2 years of employment in the role Preferred: Masters degree ( i.e. MSN, MHA or MBA) Experience Required: Five (5) years of relevant professional experience, including three (3) years in leadership Licenses/Certifications Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license and American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS; ACLS Preferred: Nationally recognized certification in area of expertise.
