Role Purpose Statement
Position administered the CSC's Ramp and Employee Safety program. Responsible for analyzing and implementing policies and procedures to make the workplace safe for all employees; this includes making the work environment more comfortable for employees by designing safe work spaces, ways to decrease injuries, inspecting vehicles and machines to make sure they are working safely and properly, and inspecting procedures to make sure they are in compliance with state and Federal laws.
Main Accountabilities
• Ramp and Employee Safety Process Owner
• Lead all safety committee functions.
• Facilitate all safety committee meetings.
• Assist with insurance and government-related safety inspections.
• Working closely with employees and management on all levels, making sure safety SOPs are being followed at all times.
• Conduct periodic safety and health walk-through inspections of all departments.
• Conduct monthly facility audit.
• Ensure that safety training and all other specifically required training is provided for all employees.
• Conduct accident/injury investigations
• Implement preventive measure and recommend improvement on the unsafe conditions/material/equipment.
• Conduct safety trainings for workers.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years employee safety experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and OSHA compliance standards
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule – AM/PM weekends
