The Stone Group of Companies is seeking a qualified student for our Paralegal Intern position for the 2024 Summer, and possibly beyond. This position will work out of our Spokane Home Office supporting the entire Stone Group of Companies. As the Paralegal Intern you will, provide a wide variety of legal services to management while gaining exposure in transactional work such as legal document review and negotiation as well as litigation prep and possible dispute resolution. You will also perform tasks such as reviewing documents, attending meetings, conducting legal research and assisting in various projects. Responsibilities: * Draft, review, and modify various contracts * Review and summarize depositions, discovery requests, and basic pleadings * Assist with discovery and litigation preparation * Review, summarize, and analyze due diligence * Research various legal issues Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Qualifications: * Motivated, hard worker who can prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities * Completed first year of law school * Strong communication skills and working in a team environment * Proficient in legal writing, critical analysis and contract administration * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and electronic document preparation and editing (Microsoft Office Suite) * Effectively manage processes by tracking progress, organizing information, and coordinating with internal and external parties * An interest in in-house transactional work involving real estate, manufacturing, and construction industries Who We Are: The Stone Group of Companies is a diversified, privately owned and operated business that specializes in the manufacturing of agricultural storage solutions and light-gauge steel framing, the distribution of building materials, and the development of industrial properties.
