* Assesses all training needs for facility & plans training activities to meet those needs: reviews summary evaluations & test results of trainings & surveys * Develops, plans, schedules, conducts, & delivers training programs: prepares materials & teaches sessions * Gathers & sets up training materials & equipment needed for training sessions, including drafts, composes & distributes announcements of planned training sessions * Assists Nurse Educator, guest instructors, or other staff, in conducting training sessions * Coordinates, & presents certain topics for, general orientation for new employees & new students * Operates & maintains equipment for videoconferencing, audio conferencing & other presentations. * Schedules employees for training, assesses all training needs for facility & plans training activities to meet those needs: reviews summary evaluations & test results of trainings & surveys * Responds to requests from supervisors & employees who identify training needs * Ensures training needs are met regarding population-specific competencies required for positions that regularly assess, treat &/or care for patients/clients. * Maintains training records & prepares status reports to appropriate individuals: tracks employee performance in training sessions & provides reports to supervisor to advise whether employee needs additional training or is knowledgeable of subject * Files training documents & maintains organization of training records * Organizes & conducts hospital tours: arranges with patient areas for tour to be on ward; gives introductory presentation & leads tour. * Performs other related duties as required: attends various in-service/workshop trainings to develop & maintain competency as a training officer & to keep abreast of changes in training needs 6 courses in human resources, education, sociology or psychology or 18 mos exp in preparing informational or instructional programs; 18 mos trg or 18 mos exp in public speaking or effective communications skills; 3 mos trg or 3 mos exp in operating audio visual equipment. * Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
