We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Reservoir Engineer in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), Rockies Powder River Basin Development Team based in Denver, CO. Roles and Responsibilities: * Development Program: Work with multi-disciplinary team to assist in generating and recommending plans of development, evaluate and recommend new well locations, analyze and post-appraise performance, and generate type curves for predicting future performance. Develop economic models that capture key issues for use in decisions regarding development options. These models will include deterministic and probabilistic techniques to address specific development issues (spacing, target interval, completion design, etc.) * Inventory: Support the inventory management process and bolster our analysis and reporting tools. Refine evaluations of OPEX parameters, margin enhancement, breakeven reduction, and other 'Blueprint' metrics to drive increasingly competitive investment opportunities. * Budget and Planning: Assist in managing various budget and planning exercises (annual budget, portfolio and long-range plans, SEC reserves forecasts, business plans, etc.). Support additional corporate planning and business development needs as necessary. Steward the drilling capital program for the assigned area. Work with finance and execution teams to monitor capital and operational spend, investigate deviations from plan, and relay insights to extended team members. * Reservoir Modelling: Work with Reservoir Characterization to integrate various reservoir studies including geo-modelling, reservoir modelling, geochemistry, PVT, petrophysics, production performance, pressure transient tests, and other data in planning future development. Recommend special data requirement and evaluation techniques. * Technical Presentations / Memos: Prepare technical presentations and documents for delivery to asset team, management, partners, and regulatory agencies. Presentations will include drilling recommendations, lease sale analyses, trade/acquisition evaluations, post-appraisal, and development plans. * Production Surveillance and Optimization: Monitor production volumes on wells within an assigned geographic area utilizing various techniques for tracking production performance. Work closely with the production engineering staff to optimize artificial lift and facility performance. Conduct team based well reviews to identify production enhancement opportunities; document opportunities, implement recommendations, and post audit results. * Team Oriented Mindset: Ability, willingness, and proven track record of teaching/mentoring junior staff. Courage necessary to respectfully challenge peers and managers. Demonstrates curiosity, learns from mistakes, shares the spotlight, leverages strengths in self and others. Required Skills and Competencies: * Minimum 5-10 years relevant reservoir engineering experience required * Solid understanding of reservoir engineering fundamentals * Proficiency with Aries, Mosaic, Enersight and/or PEEP required * Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with field operations, technical peers and management * Must also have the ability to perform statistical studies and analyze analog data to support scoping field development evaluations * Unconventional/Shale experience preferred * Working knowledge of Spotfire or Power BI is a plus Education Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required, with Petroleum Engineering being preferred Certifications/Licenses Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle. Relocation This position may be eligible for relocation Travel Requirements The percentage of travel required for this position is 0-10%. Salary Range Discretionary Bonus $136,800 - $188,100 0-50% * Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements may receive consideration for higher-level role given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
