How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) As a Radio Operator for Delta Air Lines, you will be the first point of contact for Pilots and Flight Control using Radio, Telephone, and Satellite communications aiding Delta's Operations. Conversations will be transcribed into flight history. Operators also work to maintain a network of over 170 radio sites. May be called to assist in training other team members both new and recurrent. The starting pay as a Radio Operator in Atlanta, GA is $22.72 per hour. Internal Movement Eligibility: * Must be in good standing in current position (no formal performance development - Written Coaching Letter, Corrective Action Notice, or Final Corrective Action notice - within the past 6 months). * Has not transferred in the past six months from current department in current station. This requirement can be waived for promotional opportunities such as SA to CSA/CXA or CSA/CXA to Specialty CSA/CXA. * Must be in current role for at least 1 year if transferring from outside of the ACS/CGO/Clean/GSE division. * Currently on active status, however, if you are on an inactive status, you may be eligible to transfer if you are returned to active status prior to the transfer date. * If you recently accepted an offer within ACS/CGO/Clean/GSE division and retracted it after 72 hours of acceptance, you are required to wait 6 months to be eligible for a new role. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) * Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. * Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles. * Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. * Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. * Type 45 wpm or higher. * Able to use a headset for transmitting and receiving audio clearly in English. * Remain at a desk for extended periods of time. * Be available for shifts 24/7. * Flexibility to take on Special projects and additional duties assigned by Management as required for Daily Operations. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) * Experience with call intake. * Superior Customer Service skills. * Self-Starter, able to find creative solutions. * Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize their sequence of importance.
