PURPOSE: Manage and direct shop personnel and activities to ensure quality and consistency. Manages and coordinates the maintenance and repair of equipment at the field. Guarantees maintenance of equipment meets organization standards and allows minimum equipment downtime. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: * Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures. * Responsible for the implementation of routine maintenance program. * Lead and oversee all refurbishment and major repair projects within the shop. * Partner with vendors to coordinate equipment delivery, specification and design of new equipment. * Ensure all safety requirements are maintained on the work sites for all staff. * Responsible for planning, coordination, and direction of all shop operations, up to and including installation of equipment, preventative maintenance, and facility/equipment repair to support operations. * Partner with internal and external customers to meet the shops needs and achieve the organizations maintenance goals. * Leads and coaches a team of mechanics and shop personnel to provide context and direction to ensure all tasks support business goals, objectives, best practices and proper quality specifications; coordinates with management on workforce planning ensuring optimal staffing; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and organizational goals. * Performs other duties as assigned.
