Job Title: Sports Information/Video Coordinator Graduate Assistant Division/Department: Athletics Location: Main Campus Reports to: Sports Information Director FLSA Status: Exempt Hours worked Per Week: 20 POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Sports Information Director, the Sports Information/Video Coordinator Graduate Assistant will perform or provide assistance with the following duties that pertain to the coverage of MACU Athletics. This is a Graduate Assistant Position. You must have already been accepted or anticipate acceptance into a MACU Graduate program before the term of employment begins. Compensation includes full tuition scholarship and stipend. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Set up, maintain, and operate athletic streaming equipment. * Train and supervise student-worker staff on live production of athletic events. * Produce video content for athletics social media. * Serve as on-air talent for some athletic events (fill-in role). * Manage all athletic social media accounts. * Update and maintain the athletics website. * Overate live-stating software on some occasions. * Produce graphics for athletics social media and website. * Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree. Minimum two years' experience in the field of athletic communications, broadcasting, journalism, marketing, promotions or branding either in a part-time or student-worker capacity. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to represent the MACU athletic department in the arenas of fundraising efforts, home game events, and within the university's daily operations. Carry a positive work ethic and a willingness to learn various on-the-job skills. COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following types of software: Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Adobe Vegas or any other sort of video editing software; BlueFrame ProductionTruck, BlackMagic, Tricaster or other software and equipment; Adobe Photoshop experience; website maintenance skills; live-stating experience with PrestoStats, NCAA LiveStats, StatCrew, DakStats, GameChanger or any other software. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This job requires hours into the evening and weekends in addition to the daily workflow requirements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works directly with the sports information director, all coaches, and athletic personnel (as well as on-campus director of communications) while always keeping a positive and upbeat approach to the promotion of our athletic department.
