Sensient Flavors & Extracts in Amboy, IL Is hiring a Quality Control Technician II to join our team. If you are passionate about quality and food safety, we want to hear from you! We have a Monday through Friday First Shift opening (6:00AM - 2:30PM, hours may vary), with occasionally weekend hours. POSITION SUMMARY: * Provide key support for the business need for the Sensory Lab. * Understands Sensory evaluation and analysis as well as the basic needs of the analytical, physical and micro lab to support the business need. * Must provide assurance that all products have been produced, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards to include all quality/regulatory requirements. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: * Analyze samples using modern analytical instrumentation following accepted laboratory procedures. * Handle media and sample preparation, along with data analysis. * Communicate deviations from standards to the Quality Management Team, initiate investigations, and maintain result data QUALIFICATIONS: * 4-year Science Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biology or Biochemistry is preferred. * Experience with quality laboratory testing equipment is required. * Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) & Safe Quality Food (SQF) preferred. * Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. * Ability to assist in all aspects of support for the Quality Control laboratory functions as requested by the Quality Management.
