Job Description Dexter is the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets has an opportunity for a Distribution Manager at our manufacturing facility located in West Valley, Utah Headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, Dexter has manufacturing and distribution locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. As the Distribution Manager you will directly supervise hourly distribution employees and salaried distribution supervisors while supporting warehouse and delivery teams through various avenues to improve overall operations and customer experience. Job Responsibilities: * Develop and lead highly productive teams with a focus on individual accountability. * Monitoring inventory including reserved, available, damaged, and in-stock by tracking each level daily. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * Interviewing, hiring, and training employees. * Planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. * Monitoring, preparing and loading of customer orders. * Providing customer service solutions as the need arises in a timely and customer friendly manner. * Conducting weekly cycle counts to verify the accuracy of inventory at the warehouse facility. * Servicing customers at the highest level of satisfaction through quality service, courteous employees, and quick response to needs. * Reviewing and evaluating performance of assigned operation functions, addressing performance gaps, and taking corrective action, as needed, to ensure each functional area are delivering on operating goals. * Ensuring complete and adequate documentation of procedures and tasks completed. * Completing various reporting functions in a timely manner. * Conducting focus group, safety, and other location meetings. * Other duties as assigned, essential, or otherwise. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Associate's Degree or a combination of related education and work experience. * 5+ years of increased responsibility within distribution, supply chain or logistics functions. * Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting building teams. * Excellent oral and written communications skills. * Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office. * Ability to work flexible hours. * Ability to effectively communicate, interact and convey business decisions with many different levels within the organization.
