Job Description Summary The UChicago Medicine (UCM) Alliance Attending Physician Position provides a unique combination of inpatient and consultation clinical experience. The successful candidate will rotate on a general inpatient service at Ingalls Memorial hospital, a 35-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation unit affiliated with the located on the UCM Ingalls Hospital Campus. Job Description Responsibilities while on the inpatient service also include performing inpatient consultations on acute care patients at UCM Ingalls Memorial Hospital. In addition, physicians will rotate off inpatient and provide consultations at the University of Chicago Medical Center, a large academic center in the Hyde Park neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. In this capacity they will work closely with acute care physicians in neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, trauma and other referring specialties to support the acute stay and discharge planning. The successful candidate will join a cohesive and collaborative team of physicians committed to providing the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (SRAlab) standards of care.
