What You Will Do: * Work in the Hot Section Module Center (HSMC) Operational Excellence (OpX) organization to develop strategies that will help the Asheville Manufacturing facility ramp in productions volumes. * Manage the industrial engineering team and work with operations to schedule production work and identify targeted projects that will help bring improvements. * Develop continuous improvement activities using RTX's operating system, Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE), to support lean initiatives on the shop floor and in the business process to bring efficiencies to the facility. * Lead Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers, and CORE initiative * The candidate will report to the OpX Director in East Hartford, Connecticut, but will participate in the leadership team staff onsite under the site's General Manager in Asheville, North Carolina. Qualifications You Must Have: * A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Engineering, and minimum 12 years of experience within an operations/ manufacturing environment, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 year's experience * Requires previous management and leadership experience, in leading cross-department project teams, and/or demonstrated management success across multiple related departments in an advanced manufacturing environment. * U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract Qualifications We Value: * Demonstrated ProCert/ leadership/management/coaching experience. * Excellent skill level and mastery of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Able to use Minitab and other statistical software. * Proficiency in statistics, and data analytics. * Strongly prefer ACE/CORE/ 6 Sigma Master/expert level certification What You Will Learn: The Pratt & Whitney Site in Asheville, NC implements manufacturing industry 4.0 initiatives, to include state of the art manufacturing processes. The selected candidate will have an opportunity to learn and drive impactful production on some of the newest machines, on a greenfield site. What is my role type? In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We've introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility. The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
