Job Description Work Arrangement: * Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum. * This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate The Role: CCA's Global Aftersales Engineering organization has responsibility for the service deliverable readiness of every GM vehicle globally. These include: service part release, service information, labor time guide, service part catalogue, diagnostic software, service programming, pre-delivery inspection forms, customer service information and special tools. Responsible for efficiently and effectively facilitating the execution of Aftersales Engineering work within their specific function. What You'll Do: The level of responsibility for the position will be matched with the experience of the team member hired. The person in this role will be responsible for representing Service Engineering during the vehicle development process and partnering with the product engineering teams to achieve world class serviceability for components within the Body/Exterior and Structures commodity. Additional Job Description Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): * Knowledge of vehicle development process, change management, immersive/virtual engineering systems and proficient with Microsoft Office software * Works efficiently and effectively cross functionally with individuals and teams to solve a problem or complete a project on a domestic and global scale. * Actively participates in various engineering teams and forums raising concerns and offering feasible solutions * Exhibits appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals * Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with others * Seek opportunities for collaborative experiences to help accomplish organizational goals * Able and willing to learn quickly. Strives for continuous self-improvement through formal and informal learning * Holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GM's core behaviors * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Automotive Technology or equivalent experience What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): * Demonstrated technical knowledge of Body/Exterior and Closures components * Automotive service parts experience at the wholesale or retail level * Manufacturing, vehicle engineering experience * Working knowledge of automotive service practices and procedures * Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle systems * Demonstrated GM dealership or field experience * Hands on experience in automotive diagnosis and repair * High level of oral and written communication skills GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
