Position: Chemistry Teacher (Full-time, 5/5 sections) The Science Department at Archbishop Riordan High School has an opening for a full-time Chemistry teacher. Responsibilities ? Teaching Chemistry at grade levels 9-12 ? Designing a spiral curriculum with clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects, and communicating those objectives to students ? Differentiating instruction to meet students' needs ? Meeting the needs of a wide range of students by providing extra support or varying assignments ? Collaborating with department members and administrators in the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement ? Attending professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence Qualifications ? Bachelor's degree or higher in a science related field ? At least one year of high school teaching experience preferred, specifically in Chemistry ? Teaching credential preferred ? Ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, students and staff ? Understanding of the mission and values of Archbishop Riordan High School and the Archdiocese of San Francisco Compensation/FLSA Exempt. Salary is based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement, ranging from $69,626 to $109,376.
