Job Description Agilent Technologies is seeking a Chemical Engineer/Chemist for its manufacturing facility in Newport, Delaware. The Newport site is part of Agilent's growing Consumables and Supplies Division (CSD), with a focus on liquid chromatography products. Agilent's product quality and technological innovation lead the market. Key responsibilities include working individually or as part of multi-discipline, cross-functional teams to: * Provide daily support for the production of silica-based packing for high-performance liquid chromatography columns * Resolve yield and scrap issues * Lead project teams to develop and deploy product and process improvements, which include capital projects and continuous improvement projects * Scale existing chemistries in support for a rapidly growing line of liquid chromatography consumables * Support and actively pursue Lean, 6-Sigma, and Safety Improvement projects * Execute and support the Management of Change control process, determine the disposition of nonconforming product, and create and execute corrective and preventive action plans to improve safety and quality * Provide support for and/or represent the site on new product introduction projects * Evolve existing chemistries and design new chemistries * Maintain SAP data accuracy (bills of materials, recipes) The following skills and experience are highly desired: * Demonstrated technical and problem solving skills * Demonstrated communication skills; written, oral and listening * Demonstrated leadership skills * Computer and digital skills * Knowledge of Statistics * Teamwork * Organization skills Qualifications * Bachelors or Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or equivalent * 8+ years relevant experience #LI-RK1 Agilent Technologies, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
