Help Duties As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator (SAC) for Specialized Funding Operations-Office of Investigations, you will be responsible for the following: * Serves as a Supervisory Criminal Investigator responsible for providing technical direction and guidance to a team performing complex and time sensitive investigations and activities. * Makes recommendations on investigative programs, goals, and objectives, and/or change in functions. * Establishes, coordinates, and maintains relationships with the Department and other Federal agencies, and private sector activities regarding investigative operations and matters. * Assigns work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements, and the capabilities of employees. * Responsible for: overseeing, refining and executing OI's strategy to address fraud risks to the Department related to specialized funding streams to include, but not be limited to, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) and Science Act. * Coordinating and conducting outreach efforts and participating in joint efforts to brief on specialized funding related fraud risks and determine the sources of related fraud. Provides guidance and conducting training on the most efficient and effective investigative techniques, including the use of data analytics, to use to find specialized funding related fraud. Qualifications You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date (09/06/2024) of this announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. BASIC REQUIREMENT: In accordance with OPM's Individual Occupational Requirements for the GS-1811 series, applicants must meet the following basic requirement: Medical Requirements-The duties of positions in this series require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, legs, and feet must be sufficiently intact and functioning in order that applicants may perform the duties satisfactorily. Sufficiently good vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required to perform the duties satisfactorily. Near vision, corrective lenses permitted, must be sufficient to read printed material the size of typewritten characters. Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 35 decibels at 1000, 2000, and 3000 Hz levels. Since the duties of these positions are exacting and responsible, and involve activities under trying conditions, applicants must possess emotional and mental stability.
