Estimated Appointment End Date (Continuous if Blank) Full/Part-Time Full time Job Type Regular Compensation $34,500 annual or $16.58 hourly Job Description DEFINITION Responsible for advocating for children and families in Systems of Care, and providing outreach to children and families receiving traditional mental health services. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED * Develop, enhance, and coordinate relationships with families. * Provide advocacy for children and families. * Act as liaison between children and families and the local Community Team. * Coordinate community organization at local Systems of Care sites. * Participate in advocacy to various statewide organizations and state government entities. * May participate on State Systems of Care Team * Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of children's mental health services and Systems of Care principles and values; and of working with children with severe emotional disturbance and their families; skill in facilitating work between and among multiple agencies and children and their families. This position provides care to a vulnerable population which requires employees to adhere to all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including but not limited to consumer rights regulations, confidentiality laws, and accreditation requirements associated with this position and field. As such, incumbents should be proactive, detail-oriented, and diligent with protecting consumer information, and possess the ability to understand all laws and regulations regarding consumer rights. Incumbent must demonstrate honesty and integrity in their actions and communications regarding issues impacting the organization. Incumbents must demonstrate a commitment to serving the citizens of Oklahoma, including, but not limited to demonstrating compassion in their care of ODMHSAS consumers, focus on achieving positive treatment outcomes, responsible fiscal management, and support for the ODMHSAS mission to serve individuals and families impacted by mental illness and addiction. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma plus 30 hours of college/university study or equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of relevant experience for the required education. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Possession of an Oklahoma driver license.
